Home Practice is Essential!

The State of New Hampshire recommends:

  • Each student get at least 40 hours of driving practice before getting his/her license.
  • During driving practice, the student must have proof of his/her age in the vehicle and be accompanied by a licensed driver at least 25 years old.
  • Practice your driving in a residential area, but stay in New Hampshire because other states have permit laws.
  • If you aren't sure whether you are ready, ask your instructor.

NOTE: We recommend independent study from the NH Driver Manual which can be downloaded from the NH Department of Safety by clicking the following link: New Hampshire Driver's Manual (pdf). Or you may also pickup a driver's manual at a DMV sub-station.
